Resale Buyer Rebates in Orlando: Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties
Cash back on existing properties in Central Florida, and how to qualify anywhere else.
Resale rebates, explained
A resale is any existing property: a house, condo, townhome, or land that someone already owns. When you buy one with Silver Dog Rebates, part of the buyer’s-agent commission is credited back to you at closing.
Same property, different broker: most brokerages publish no resale buyer rebate at all, so their buyers get $0. See the comparison and your number.
How much?
The full rebate applies when our commission is 2.50% or more. On a $400,000 resale that’s $1,250. A lower commission doesn’t cancel your rebate; it’s adjusted proportionately (at 2.00%, a $1,250 rebate becomes $1,000).
Where resale rebates are available
- Orange County (Orlando, Winter Park, Lake Nona, Windermere, Apopka)
- Osceola County (Kissimmee, St. Cloud, Celebration)
- Seminole County (Sanford, Oviedo, Lake Mary, Altamonte Springs)
- Parts of Lake and Volusia counties
Buying somewhere else in Florida?
You can still get a resale rebate when you don’t need an agent with you at showings. We request showing access from the listing agent on your behalf, and you tour the property on your own. That access is up to the listing agent and isn’t always granted, so we’ll let you know before you plan a visit.
How it’s paid
If you’re financing, lenders require the rebate to go toward closing costs. If you’re paying cash, it reduces the funds you bring to closing. Either way, it’s written into the Commission Disbursement Authorization sent to the title company. Looking at a property under $150,000? Call (407) 357-0357.
Common questions
Do condos and townhomes qualify for a resale rebate?
Yes. Condos, townhomes, land, and multifamily properties all qualify, along with single-family homes.
Why are resale rebates limited to certain counties?
In Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and parts of Lake and Volusia, our agents can show properties in person. Elsewhere in Florida, rebates are available when you tour on your own with showing access we request from the listing agent.
What if the seller isn’t paying my agent’s commission?
Your buyer agreement sets your agent’s compensation. If the commission we receive is lower than 2.50%, your rebate is adjusted proportionately, not cancelled.
